Multiple award-winning artist Will Pierce is emerging as a household name in California communities such as Malibu, Beverly Hills and the Pacific Palisades. Pierce is known for his painterly seascapes that mark a new genre of fine art photography, inspired by impressionism. He is the first photographer to be represented by Karges Fine Art–known by collectors for curating historically important, museum quality Early California paintings.
Pierce has risen to prominence since his 2013 debut solo exhibition at Santa Barbara's Porch, a critical and commercial success that propelled his work into galleries and private collections from the California coast to the Hamptons and Italy, including Los Angeles based design houses such as Tim Clarke's Tower 20 and Elizabeth Lamont's Room at the Beach.
Pierce is a native Californian and self-confessed “nature-addict”, with one eye always on the ocean. He earned his degree in Photography from Santa Barbara's Brooks Institute in 2004 during the school's golden age, and found his muse at sea, where he began taking photos of the mercurial waters he encountered while sailing off the California coast.
