How it All Started
Several years ago, I faced a difficult health challenge that forced me to step away from work and rethink many aspects of my life.
During that time, I began looking closely at everything that touches our bodies — what we eat, what we wear, and ultimately what surrounds us in our homes.
Our skin is our largest organ. The materials we live with every day matter more than most people realize.
That realization changed how I looked at design.
"If we think carefully about what we eat and wear, why wouldn’t we think just as carefully about what we bring into our homes?"

What Most People Don't Realize
- Engineered woods can contain formaldehyde adhesives
- Furniture finishes can release VOCs (Volatile Organic Compounds) into the air
- Foams and upholstery may contain flame retardants
- Textiles and dyes can contain harmful chemicals
What to Look For:
100% Natural Materials
Solid wood, linen, cotton, wool, stone, and glass.
Low-VOC Finishes
Reducing chemical emissions inside the home.
OEKO-TEX® Certified
Independently tested against over 1,000 harmful substances.
Added Flame Retardants
Avoid these for safer upholstery construction.
Our Non-Tox Collections
At Elizabeth Lamont, we began asking questions about the products we source and the materials used to make them. This curiosity led us to build a sourcing philosophy centered around healthier materials and greater transparency.
Bedding
You spend hours in your sheets each night, so it’s worth knowing what they’re made of. We prioritize natural fibers and OEKO-TEX® certified textiles that have been independently tested for harmful substances, so your bed is built on transparency and healthy materials.
Bath
What you use on your body every day should be simple and well made. We choose towels and robes in natural fibers, produced without unnecessary chemical finishes, because daily essentials should feel clean in every sense of the word.
Furniture
Furniture lives in your air and under your hands for years, so we prioritize solid wood construction, non-toxic finishes, and upholstery made without added chemicals to create a clean indoor environment.
Tabletop
The pieces you eat from should be just as considered as the food you eat. We select ceramics, glass, and stainless steel crafted without harmful heavy metals, focusing on materials that are durable, food-safe, and made to last.
