Outdoor Updates & Aperol Spritzes
This week, I’m getting ready for some much-needed outdoor fun. One of my dearest friends is visiting from Sydney, Australia—it's been ages since we’ve seen each other! I’m hoping we can enjoy some quality time together on my new patio at my cozy little fire rental.
To freshen up the space, I picked up some beautiful new chairs and outdoor pillows that instantly brightened everything up. It’s such an easy update and really changes the mood—especially when you're soaking in the sun with an Aperol Spritz in hand. Cheers to that!
In the Garden: A Story of Renewal
While I’m still not doing too much physically, I wanted to share something special that’s happening. After months of going back and forth—considering everything from moving to Ojai to finding a new lot—I’ve finally decided: I’m going to rebuild my home in Malibu.
Visiting my lot on a crystal-clear day sealed the deal. This place is home, and my people are here.
This week, we’ve been clearing what's left after the Army Corps of Engineers removed the bulk of the debris. There's still a lot to be done, but I asked them to dig up one of my beloved olive trees, which had burned to the ground, and replant it in a pot. And guess what? It’s sprouting again. Pure joy.
Also, a little bit of magic: I found my parents' old stone gnomes. They were from our family home in Connecticut and somehow survived the fire completely untouched. I like to think they’re little guardian angels—my mom’s the smaller one, and my dad is the one peeking over her shoulder. They're keeping me company at the rental while we wait for the new house.
What I’m Watching & Reading
Okay, don’t judge—but I just rewatched The Royals. Anyone who knows me knows I’m a sucker for anything British (thanks to my lovely British mom!).
It’s four seasons of over-the-top fun, and if you haven’t watched—or rewatched—it, I highly recommend. Total guilty pleasure.
What’s in My Cart
I recently treated myself to a facial at Milk + Honey in Brentwood, and it was so good. I left wanting to keep that spa glow going every day.
Enter: Jenni Kayne’s Moisture Rich Balm and Conditioning Lip Balm. Both are amazing and now officially in my cart. Highly recommend if you’re craving that soft, hydrated, just-had-a-facial feel.
Products I Love
Let’s talk kitchen essentials. Vietri makes the best butter dish. It fits a block of Kerrygold perfectly (which, let’s be honest, is the only butter worth using), keeps it cool, and spreads beautifully. Plus, it’s dishwasher safe. A small but mighty upgrade for your kitchen.

Friday Gift Idea
This one’s a little selfish—but hear me out. I realized I don’t have any vases. None! A true case of the shoemaker’s children having no shoes.
After bringing home some cheerful daisies from my burned property (yes, they grew!), I had nothing to put them in.
The perfect vase? Vietri’s Hibiscus Large Vase in white. It’s light, summery, and goes with every style. A beautiful gift—for yourself or someone else.
Non-Tox Living
If you’re new here, I’m super passionate about living a clean, non-toxic life, and I’ll be sharing tips and favorite products in this space.
This week’s question: Have you ever thought about what’s inside your pillows?
How many times have those feathers been washed? More importantly—what have they been washed in? Bleach? Formaldehyde? Yikes.
I recently replaced all my sleeping pillows with ones from The Pillow Bar—we carry them on our site. They’re fully non-toxic, made without bleaches or harsh chemicals, and come in soft, medium, and firm. I go for soft. 😊

Give them a try—your head (and health) will thank you.
